Banana Blueberry Breakfast Smoothies

The Thermomix makes light work of this Banana Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie! It’s the perfect recipe for a very quick to make on-the-go breakfast for those busy mornings.

Thermomix Banana Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie For the Win!

I love that this smoothie helps make our mornings run smoother and will keep us full until lunch time, especially if including one of the protein boosters.

It is sweetened only by fruit and can be made with your choice of milk, whether that be cow’s milk or a plant-based milk. I love it with my home made cashew coconut milk.

Protein Boosters

The protein booster option on this recipe is purely optional. Including one does increase the nutrition and for me, that’s important. That said, it is really is a very yummy smoothie made without the extra protein and certainly still worth making.

Consuming moderate amounts of good quality protein has a lot going for it. Amongst other benefits, it assists in the production and repair of body tissues, production of enzymes and hormones but best of all, it keeps hunger at bay.

Eggs

Adding two eggs to this smoothie will give you a protein boost of 12g in total, increasing it by 6g per serve. Make sure your eggs are fresh with plenty of date left on them.

Protein Powder

Food in its least processed form is always the best. However, this brand of high quality natural protein powder does have a place in my family’s diet. Of course it is more processed than milk straight from the cow, but I am ok with that!

After doing lots of research on different brands a couple of years ago, I finally settled on this brand. I met with the owner of the company, asked her my questions and decided I liked the sound of it. (So much so, I am now an affiliate).

I like that all of their products are as close to their natural state as possible and the milk they make the protein powder from is from grass-fed, hormone free cows.

I use the WPI, they also have a (cheaper but still excellent) WPC and even a vegan protein powder for those that prefer.
