Smoky Tomato Sauce – Quick and Easy

warm-tomato-sauce

This Thermomix-made Smoky Tomato Sauce came about while I was developing my Smoky Baked Beans.

When it got to this point, my partner, Russ, said it was smelling great and asked to try it. He said he’d love a batch just as it was to serve with steak or chops!

Since then we’ve been making it on a regular basis. It’s so quick – the Thermomix makes this tomato sauce in a flash!

It adds a lovely burst of flavour to a healthy meal and best of all it’s made solely from pantry staples!

Tinned crushed tomatoes

Brown onion

Garlic cloves

Olive oil

Dried parsley

Smoked paprika

Sugar

Salt

As well as serving with meats, it’s really good with fried halloumi, eggs, roast veggies, on toast and as a pizza sauce.

The consistency is thick and chunky and it’s just bursting with flavour!
